Inter-Schools Grassroots Show Jumping Qualifiers & National Schools NSEA Show Jumping Qualifiers. Generously sponsored by Cheltenham Ladies’ College Classes 30cm-1.10m Including Grassroots Qualifiers for the Grassroots Regional Championships (see NSEA website for dates) as well as the NSEA Grassroots Festival at Hickstead in August 2027. Classes 6 to 10 are qualifiers for the NSEA National Schools Championships 2026 at Addington in October and qualifiers for the NSEA Championship Plate in October 2026. Rosettes, Sashes and Prizes kindly sponsored by Cheltenham Ladies’ College. Rosettes will be awarded to the top 6 teams & the top 6 individuals in both the Grassroots and National Schools Qualifiers classes.

Results will be shown on NSEA Results and competition times will be on the Rectory Farm website as well as NSEA Results.

We are very grateful to the schools sponsoring each competition for their generous support in providing rosettes, sashes, and prizes. Their contribution is greatly appreciated and plays an important part in the success of each competition.

Entries close when full, or on the Monday before the competition.

Times will be published by 6pm Tuesday before each competition.

Entries are provided on a first-come first served basis. You must include your child’s NSEA numbers or entries may not be accepted.

Refunds

Refunds will be given prior to the close of entries minus an administration fee. No refunds will be given for anyone who withdraws after times have been posted.

Rules of Entry

  • The competition will be run in accordance with BE/BS rules.
  • Appropriate dress must be worn, hard hats must comply with current BE standard, rule 7.2.
  • Hats must be worn at all times when mounted.
  • Plaiting is not required
  • The Judges’ decision is final.
  • The organisers and landowners accept no responsibility for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, riders, grooms, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, cancel a class, withhold a prize or disqualify a competitor for any reason they deem necessary.
  • In the event of cancellation, a £5 administration fee will be retained to defray costs.
  • Withdrawals made before the closing date will be refunded less the booking fee.
  • Withdrawals made after this time will only be refunded upon receipt of a vet certificate or doctor’s note.
  • No misuse of the whip, equipment or practice fences will be allowed.
  • Objections must be made within 15 minutes of the offence and must be accompanied by £15, which will be refunded if the objection is sustained.
  • Horses and Ponies must not be left tied to lorries/trailers and left unattended.
  • Horses and ponies must be 4 years old and over.
  • No lungeing.
  • Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times and cleared up after.
  • All children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
